Hey guys and welcome to my new blog! You might notice the feel of the website is similar and some of the content is the same but the blog has a completely different name. Why all the changes? Continue reading and all will be revealed.
Why the name change?
The biggest reason for the name change is the name is no longer relevant. My previous blog name originated when I was nannying in Austria. I worked for a very wealthy family that were a little crazy. The name of the blog was to be the name of the book that I wanted to write about my experiences.
Now that I’m no longer nannying or sharing my experiences about nannying it really makes the name void.
So why the name change now?
As many of you know I’ve been very fortunate and given the chance to write for an established blog www.exploringkiwis.com. This gave me the chance to experience the opportunities that a blog with a large following can attract and while I’ll still write for Exploring Kiwis I would like to grow my blog following and publish more content under my own name.
With these factors in mind I was given some advice to change my website to a self-hosted site in order to gain more traffic (I don’t really have a clue what I am talking about here). With changing hosting providers now was the best time for the name change.
So where does the name come from?
The Crazy Kiwi is a name that has followed me around the world on my travels.
I like to think this name was given to me due to my adventurous nature which often finds me trying exciting, daring and sometimes very random things. More likely it was due to the fact that after a few drinks I can usually be persuaded to attempt silly things. Or possibly due to my extreme talent in dancing what others might construe as crazy moves with no rhythm or talent (but I know they are just jealous).
Either way and regardless of the definition it’s a name that stuck along my travels and has inspired the name of this blogging site.
Make sure you stay tuned as tonight I’m jetting off to Central America for nine weeks of adventures and can’t wait to share these with you!
